Run England Beginner Running Project – Shropshire Council and Energize STW, the county sports partnership for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin are developing a network of beginner running groups across Shropshire. The idea of this project is to engage with people who would like to take up running on a regular basis, either as a novice or for someone who’s taken a break from running but would like to take it up again.
The sessions can cater for people who are starting from a walking perspective, and gradually over time will be able to run over a sustained distance, and for those who can only run for a limited time.
All groups will be run by a qualified leader who has undertaken the “Leadership in Running Fitness” qualifications. Groups are set up across Shropshire according to demand and popularity.
