The market towns are a good place to start, with a number of circular cycle routes from each town. The towns all have a distinctive character and connection with the surrounding countryside, from the medieval jewel of Ludlow, with its links to the Shropshire Hills, to the canal town of Ellesmere, connected to the internationally important Meres and Mosses.
