The Market Towns Cycle Rides focus on 13 market towns across Shropshire. There are maps and directions for three to five rides starting from each of the featured market towns.

The rides are all circular and vary from under ten miles to 30 miles. Whether you are a Shropshire resident looking for a Sunday afternoon ride, or a visitor looking for cycling opportunities whilst on holiday, these routes provide an excellent starting point for exploring Shropshire’s beautiful countryside and historic market towns by bicycle.

The 185m Shropshire Cycleway goes round the perimeter of the county and there are a number of National Cycle Routes that pass through Shropshire including the Mercian Way, which runs between Salisbury and Chester, and the Six Castles Cycleway between Shrewsbury and Leominster.
