The walk is noted for picturesque crossings of the River Rea at Upper & Lower Forge and a wonderful view over Cleobury Mortimer (near the Hall Entrance).
For a longer walk (5.5 miles) combine this walk with Over the Water to Worcestershire. This walk is the second half of the combined walk, join this walk at step 4 below.
For more details on this and other walks in Cleobury Mortimer please visit the Cleobury Mortimer Footpath Association website. Due to the terrain, nearly all our walks involve at least one short steep uphill and some stiles. However, you can take it as slowly as you like and the views make it worthwhile.
Mawley Hall
The Mawley Hall Estate centres on the main residence which dates from 1735. This was the seat of the Blount Family for centuries until 1960’s. The house was built by Smith of Warwick in 1735.
