This easy 3.3 mile circular walk starts from Cheswardine Parish Hall and heads out into the farmland to the west of the village. The route takes you through farmland and down country lanes and through wooded areas. Please be aware of traffic along the country lanes and you may also encounter livestock on farmland. Cheswardine
Cheswardine is a rural parish situated about four and a half miles to the south of Market Drayton and adjacent to the border with Staffordshire. It is comprised of Cheswardine village, the hamlets of Ellerton, Soudley and Chipnall, and small settlements in the surrounding countryside. The parish church is dedicated to St Swithun and overlooks Cheswardine from the hill at the top of the village. The village boast two pubs, The Red Lion and The Fox and Hounds with a third pub situated a short distance away on the canal.
