Path Information
The Hotspur Trail is a 1.5 mile (2.5km) circuit of the battlefield on narrow, mostly hard-packed, surfaced paths. The surface can be soft or loose in places. The gradients are gentle but for prolonged distances of up to 250 metres. The Royal Trail is a shorter circuit of 1.2 miles (2km). Both trails pass St Mary Magdalene’s Church and fishponds crossing a sloping wooden boardwalk. Both trails are most easily completed in an anti-clockwise direction. There is a surfaced car park but no defined disability spaces. Disabled only parking is available at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, but access from the churchyard to the path network is unsurfaced. The main access to the site is through a narrow kissing gate. It is not suitable for mobility scooters.
