Parish Paths Partnerships & Wardens
Local people work with us to help manage the 5,500 km’s of Public Rights of Way within the County. Parish Paths Partnerships are groups of volunteers who come together to do whatever they decide needs to be done at the local level.
Activities include:
- Rights of Way surveys
- Maintenance of Rights of Way
- Replacing stiles, gates and bridges
- Cutting back vegetation
- Waymarking routes
- Promoting the best local walks and rides
- Organising local Walking Festivals
- Deciding on their local Rights of Way priorities
Parish Paths Partnerships are a great way to:
- Meet local people with similar interests
- Learn new skills
- Help decide on local priorities
- Significantly improve walking/riding opportunities in your Parish
